Getting started

Wallet setup

Connect a self-custody EVM wallet, switch to Robinhood Chain, and fund it with USDG.

Before you start

Element is non-custodial: you trade from your own wallet and Element never holds your funds. You need a self-custody EVM wallet, a small amount of ETH for gas, and USDG for collateral.

  1. Install a wallet

Use MetaMask or any WalletConnect-compatible EVM wallet. Create or import an account and keep the recovery phrase offline. Never share it with anyone, including anyone claiming to be Element support.

  2. Add Robinhood Chain

Point the wallet at Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663). Element prompts you to switch networks on connect if you are on the wrong chain.

  3. Keep ETH for gas

Transactions are paid in ETH. Gas on Robinhood Chain is negligible, but keep a small ETH balance so trades and approvals can be signed.

  4. Fund with USDG

Deposit USDG, the native stablecoin on Robinhood Chain (6 decimals), to your address. Confirm the token contract and network before sending; transfers cannot be reversed.

Connect to Element

Open the app, choose Connect wallet, and approve the request. Connecting shares your public address only; it does not let Element move your funds. You approve USDG spending separately when you place your first trade.

You approve what you spend

Element requests a bounded USDG allowance to the trading engine, by default the larger of 1,000 USDG or what your order needs, never unlimited. You can change or revoke it anytime in your wallet.
